Manchester United continue their perfect start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reign as the reds seal a comfortable win against Huddersfield at Old Trafford.
The Old Trafford was packed to welcome the United legend and new caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian has recently been appointed as the manager of the club after Jose Mourinho was sacked following a poor run of results. However, United seem to be coming back in the right direction as they continued to display the attacking football under the lights at Old Trafford.
Nemanja Matic gave United the lead with his first-half goal. Paul Pogba’s brace in the second half sealed the win for United and had the crowd sing praise songs for the new boss and his team.

Solskjaer wins first game at Old Trafford as United boss
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made three changes in the squad that faced Cardiff last weekend. Diogo Dalot, Fred and Juan Mata all made it to the starting XI. Ashley Young and Ander Herrera were dropped to the bench whereas Martial missed out on the matchday squad due to illness. Later it was confirmed that Martial had suffered food poisoning and was unable to be included in the squad.
The Norwegian manager received a remarkable welcome from the home fans. The famous banner ’20 Legend’ still hangs from the second tier of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand. The Glazers and Ed Woodward were in attendance to watch Ole’s first game in charge. United legends Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney were also present in the stadium to watch the game.
Manchester United picked up where they left off in their 5-1 win against Cardiff. The kept attacking and moving the ball forward and the hard work finally paid off when Nemanja Matic put United upfront in the 28th minute.
Paul Pogba, who was fallen out under the former manager Jose Mourinho, scored twice in the second half and kept the momentum going. Due to his stunning performance, he was awarded the Man of the Match award.

David De Gea was yet again denied a clean sheet as Huddersfield managed to get a late goal through Mathias Jorgensen. However, that was not enough for David Wagner’s side, as United grabbed all the three important points.
